A very clever (and sneaky) way of advirtising. I admire these people.
Internet has no doubt taken over the world and our lives. It sure has great effect on customer beahviour and deisions. Via search engines, forums etc ( I have no evidence but social media?). They have huge ratings but influence? I don’t believe they do, as much as “conventional” media and advertising.
Many moons ago, we attended a conference which was called “mobilişim”. The motto was only the adapters shall survive in the changing world of mobile. You have to act quick”. “We will live in a very different world in 5 years time etc etc
One case was about British airways who was late to make a plug for the laptops. Before they could do it, the battery technology advanced and there were no need for the plug.
I told them the case is irrelevant with the “mobilişim”. It’s about deciding/acting late, nothing to do with new technology. The object could have been kettle, as well.

And I recall Jetsons. When I was a kid, we used to believe (and on TV they used to say) in 2000 we will live almost like Jetsons. (Am I taht old really?
We didn’t!.
Nevertheless you have to admire these men about manipulating.
I blow before the master..
I enjoyed you blog and other postings. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your comment!
5-7 years ago -I heard the same talkings of “we’ll live like Jetsons”, no need to feel old about It!
We get used to changes, and to be fast and take actions quickly and so on… However our mystify is timeless that we always want more!
Now that everyone has access to technology&internet, It is indispensable to use social media as advertising space both personally and institutionally, I think.
That’s also a new employment area if you come to think about it.
